Thoughts on being pregnant:

I wonder if my belly button will go back to looking normal after I deliver.
I wonder how I can keep my new boobs as long as possible.
I haven't had any weird food cravings yet but I have had several food aversions (like anything spicy, even salt and pepper; chocolate and tea- all of which I was really fond of before)!
Many of my favorite movies (like Ice Age, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille) are animated so I'm in good shape.
The second trimester is so much better than the first. I have more energy. I actually look pregant which is exciting and I don't feel like puking ALL of the time.
I wonder if Paul will faint in the delivery room.
I wonder how much total weight I'm going to gain. I wonder if it will all go away, eventually...
I wonder how I can keep Paul doing housework.
I wonder if there will be fireworks for my baby's birth (4th of July).
I wonder if I'll be a good mom. I already love her so much.

  1. Some answers - first, you'll be a great mom! Don't sweat it, follow your instincts and give all three of you plenty of learning leeway (sp?) and you'll be just fine.

And sadly, enjoy those boobs now, because as soon as you stop nursing, they'll deflate to resemble something along the lines of tube socks!

  2. I agree, you will be a GREAT mom! no doubt! And the love you already feel only gets stronger, it is truely amazing.
As for the belly button, I am still waiting for mine to return...
AS for Paul...well, he better keep cleaning;-)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Sounds just like me when I was expecting. There is so much unknown and so much to look forward too.
